Trust Hogen Announces New UK Charity Partnership With Sporting Charity, The Mintridge Foundation To Support Young People Beyond The Pandemic

According to a recent article by the Pro Group, the shift towards more than 70% of corporate community investment giving strategically in a structured manner (rather than ad hoc donations) not only provides long term sustainable support for charities, but it represents the true value of a corporate – charity partnership. A valued corporate charity partnership has recently been announced between Trust Hogen (GDPR Data Privacy and Security Specialists) and Northamptonshire based charity, The Mintridge Foundation which showcases this point fantastically.

Gary Langrish, CEO of Trust Hogen set about a LinkedIn mission to find and support a registered charity that resonated with his core values as part of the Trust Hogen Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative. Up popped the Mintridge Foundation through the power of tagging and sharing posts and here started the partnership!

A few months ago, we set about trying to find a charity to work with, free of charge. We have seen huge growth in the last 12 months and thought it would be great to give back. So well done to The Mintridge Foundation - HARNESSING THE POWER OF POSITIVE SPORTING ROLE MODELS. Any amazing organisation, led by the very inspirational Alex Wallace . We can’t wait to get started!

As part of the partnership, Trust Hogen will help the Mintridge Foundation to understand their gaps and make recommendations to support their Cyber and Data Capacity, something that is worth upwards of £15,000, a value of huge significance to any organisation, let alone a small charity that has been impacted hugely by the closure of schools and reduction of fundraising events.

The generosity has not stopped there, as Trust Hogen have also recently become a member of Minty’s Equipment Stars by donating £100 to the charity to purchase new euipment, something that is very important for the charity to be able to continue delivering in a fun and safe way.

The charity will not only be receiving this direct support but through the partners and friend of Trust Hogen, the Northamptonshire based charity will reach new audiences as it continues its aim to be accessible and affordable to every young person in the United Kingdom. As this TES article demonstrates through the campaign of the men’s England Football campaign in the recent Euro 2020 tournament, elite athletes make young people sit up and listen, they have a platform like no other that allows them to inspire and allows every person watching to see themselves as valid. Mintridge is able to go one step further and reduce the gap between elite sport and youth and with this raised profile, more young people will be able to benefit. YOU CANNOT BE WHAT YOU CANNOT SEE.

Recently completing the Pathway to Partnership Pilot Programme with Cempta and Networx4Business, the Mintridge Foundation has grown in confidence in approaching corporate organisations as this success story has demonstrated. It will allow your business to explore opportunities far beyond monetary value, such as other successful examples that can be seen in this Charities Aid Foundation Blog.

“The pandemic has made me realise even more so than before that to have success in all that we do here at the Mintridge Foundation, we need to put the human first and build great relationships. From the initial correspondence with Gary, we knew instantly knew that this was someone that cares deeply about what we are trying to achieve here via our sporting role model mentoring programmes. Gary will go above and beyond to help to ensure that we are in a strong and stable position as a charity and our Cyber Security. With so much of our work online, and our safeguarding standards, this is hugely important.”

The Mintridge Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. We provide a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models. The Mintridge Foundation assists young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport.

Our team of Ambassadors  - Olympians, Paralympians and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports, both team and individual - work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK. Starting with visits including assemblies, coaching clinics and classroom sessions tailored to each organisation’s requirements, our ambassadors can then provide one- on- one remote mentoring in a safeguarded environment, delivered via technology such as Fitswarm and Playwaze to build a lasting legacy for individuals.

The Mintridge Foundation’s successes demonstrate the incredible power of sport; from a mentee’s selection to represent Great Britain in their chosen field to enabling disabled children to find confidence and happiness just through participation. Understanding life after sport, we also support our Ambassadors in their transition from active sport to the next stage of their careers.
