KHADIJAH SAFARI

Blackbelt Kickboxer & Founder of Safari MMA

Khadijah first tried Muay Thai and Kickboxing in 2001 and instantly fell in love with the challenge and discipline that it brought to her life. In 2009 after choosing to become Muslim she realised that if she wanted to have a women’s environment to train in she’d need to open one herself, so she launched the UK’s first women’s only martial arts club, and has since gone on to have 11 locations across the UK’s majors cities.

Her passion lies in creating self belief with a fighter mentality, using Martial Arts as her platform to do so, engaging the disengaged and bringing unity and equity in to a very male dominated industry. Khadijah is very passionate about working not just with children and youth, but also with parents to help educate and break down barriers often caused with cultural beliefs. Khadijah has inspired thousands of people to step out of their comfort zones to try something new, and will continue to do so anyway she can.

Khadijah has won multiple awards including UK Coach of the Year MWSF, UK Movers List, Lucozade, and has just won the COVID Innovation Award with Leap BMK, a well deserved award for the attention to detail that she puts in to all of her members.
