HEATHER FELL
Modern Pentathlon
Heather Fell is an Olympic Silver Medallist in Modern Pentathlon (Beijing 2008) and former World Number One.
She was brought up in rural Devon where she worked hard to balance the demands of studying with training and competing. Despite having her funding withdrawn after university, Heather forced her way back into the GB squad with a series of strong performances that ultimately secured her the opportunity to compete at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
Since retiring in 2014, Heather has established a career in media and sport. She worked as a commentator and ground announcer throughout both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio 2016 and more recently the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Alongside her media commitments, she is an active member of the British Olympic Association’s Athletes Commission and regularly works as an athlete mentor in schools. Outside of work commitments, Heather is a keen cyclist and is continuously looking for a challenge. In 2013 she cycled from John O’Groats to Lands’ End for charity. The following year she sailed across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Clipper yacht race and has since competed in numerous Iron Man and Triathlon competitions. Heather now spends a lot of her time presenting on the Global Trialthon Network and encouraging others to take on a new challenge.
